Rookie of the Year?
Marcus Thompson tonight on Twitter: More ROY fodder @DIMEMag @StephenCurry30 just broke the record for most made treys in a season for an NBA rookie (159). Kawakami: Here’s how. Bleacher Report after the other night in Minnesota: Curry fell two rebounds and three steals short of accomplishing a very rare quadruple-double. Wizards coach Flip Saunders: “He’s going to be a very good player in this league for a long time.”

Still keeping tabs on your alma mater?
Stephen: “Yeah I watch pretty much every game I can if we don’t play that same night. It’s definitely still weird to watch them play without me out there. I talk to my coach pretty much once a week and all of my roommates and teammates. It’s really like I haven’t left kind of thing.” Sunday night: 32 in a win against the Hawks.

Stephen on Monta
To Dime: “I don’t really know what was going on in his mind when he said it, but at least give me a fair chance to come in and prove myself. And we did that in training camp and now we’re fine, so it was just a veteran marking his territory kind of thing.”

‘Toxic’
Dime mag:
Ryan Blake on the rookies. Tonight at the Pacers: Didn’t start. Another loss. Stephen on Twitter: Promise to all the Warrior fans ... we will figure this thing out ... if it’s the last thing we do we will figure it out.
Steph is a genuinely good guy and should be a very good player in the League for a very long time, but you have to wonder what type of effect this toxic environment will have on him long-term. Luckily, he seems to have a good head on his shoulders -- hopefully he can survive until the Warriors eventually fix themselves.

Andrew in Dime
On Blake Griffin: “What I like the most about him is that he tries to play the game the right way. He goes through a lot and keeps playing basketball. He doesn’t go to get retribution. He just plays on like nothing happened, like whatever you just saw didn’t actually take place. Even when he got mad, he wasn’t taking it out on me. He was just trying to do his absolute best.”

Slam and Dime
Here:
And here:
One thing isn’t debatable about Curry: He was extra nice as a college player. How he’ll transition at the next level is anyone’s guess. He could fall in the Draft due to his size and questions about his handle. But when you shoot like he does, you will have a place.
And here:
In the Garden that night, Curry could have done anything, and the packed house would have ooh’d and aah’d in delight. But no one would have been completely shocked. He could have started banking in half court hook shots as an encore and the crowd wouldn’t have thought twice about it.
So why can’t he do that on the stage wearing an NBA jersey?
